Welcome to LA519, a resource of hope and action in the journey toward mental well-being and suicide prevention. Our name, LA519, holds a profound meaning that encapsulates our mission and inspiration.

"LA" stands not only for Luke Aughey, whose life and untimely departure in May 2019 deeply inspire our cause, but also for Local Action—a principle we believe is pivotal in addressing and preventing suicide.

Our website is crafted with a singular purpose: to be a comprehensive resource for individuals facing mental health challenges, with a particular emphasis on supporting teenagers grappling with suicidal ideation. Here, you will find a carefully curated collection of resources, including links to local Mental Health Services, Suicide Prevention Services, and a register of qualified Psychotherapists.

OUR MISSION

We strive to promote mental resilience and well-being to prevent suicides by funding QPR training and resilience talks. We also serve as a resource directory for existing support services.

Help us, help others. We want to cover the cost of QPR suicide prevention training for everyone. Your donation will go directly to this life-saving training.

It doesn’t matter if you can only offer an hour a week or an hour in your lifetime.  We appreciate any help and your community will too. Just email hello@la519.com
